About Me

Allergies: The Unbearable Sniffing, Sneezing and Drainage

My name is Marilyn Baker, and I have horrible allergies. I’m 42 years old and have been suffering from allergies since I was a child. I have seasonal and environmental allergies. Allergies plague me year round. When I was young, my parents even moved to a dryer area in the hope of helping me. Over the past eight years, I have done extensive research both through doctors and online. I have managed to come up with some combinations that have helped me a great deal. My allergies aren’t gone, but they have become manageable. I do have to have allergy shots, but I also use some natural remedies. I am happy to be able to share my findings with you here on my blog. I hope you can find some of this of value.

A Few Options For ED Treatment

by Clifton Davidson

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection long enough to have satisfying sexual intercourse. It is common for men to experience this sometimes, but if it is a regular occurrence you should check with your primary care physician about the different options for ED treatment. While you may be embarrassed about the situation, it is the number one problem men have with their sexual health. In addition, it does seem to become more common with age. Luckily, there are many treatments available now. You may need to try a few different ones before finding the one that works best for you.

Here are some ED treatments to discuss with your doctor.

Oral Medication

Unless there is some indication of a physical problem, the first treatment most doctors use is oral medications. However, if you currently use medications for other issues, your doctor will need to consider if the ED pills will interfere with them.  Erectile dysfunction medication helps with blood flow to the penis. Combined with sexual stimulation, an erection will be achieved and maintained. If you find you remain erect for an extended amount of time you should look for a different treatment.

Vacuum Erection Device

If you can't take the pills, or want more control over your erections, you should try a vacuum erection device. You place your penis into a plastic tube that is connected to a pump. The pump may be manual or battery-operated. The pump pulls blood into your penis, creating an erection. Once you are hard and erect you slip a tension band down to the base of your penis to ensure the blood stays where you need it. You can choose when to remove the band, allowing the blood to flow from the penis to end the erection.

Penile Implant

A penile implant allows you to control your erection even more than a vacuum device. However, surgery is required. A device consisting of a small pump and two cylinders are placed into the penis and testes. You activate the pump so that water floods into the cylinders causing an erection. Once you are done, you can shut off the pump so the cylinders will empty.

It is important to note that before undergoing any ED treatment your doctor will do a complete physical on you as well as order some blood work. It is possible you are not able to achieve and maintain an erection because of a medical or mental problem. However, if all is good, you should be able to enjoy a healthy sex life again soon.
