About Me

Allergies: The Unbearable Sniffing, Sneezing and Drainage

My name is Marilyn Baker, and I have horrible allergies. I’m 42 years old and have been suffering from allergies since I was a child. I have seasonal and environmental allergies. Allergies plague me year round. When I was young, my parents even moved to a dryer area in the hope of helping me. Over the past eight years, I have done extensive research both through doctors and online. I have managed to come up with some combinations that have helped me a great deal. My allergies aren’t gone, but they have become manageable. I do have to have allergy shots, but I also use some natural remedies. I am happy to be able to share my findings with you here on my blog. I hope you can find some of this of value.

3 Top Reasons To Join A Weight Loss Program

by Clifton Davidson

Many Americans struggle with their weight, and losing weight can be incredibly difficult, especially if you go it alone. Luckily, there are many weight loss programs that are available to help guide people who want to finally lose those pounds. If you would like to know more, check out these three top reasons to join a weight loss program.

1. Physical Health Benefits

Being overweight can drastically increase your risk of many health conditions, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, some cancers, and many more. Plus, even if you are healthy overall, being overweight can make getting around difficult. You may no longer be able to do activities you once enjoyed, such as hiking, sports, etc.

In severe cases, people may become disabled from obesity. They are unable to work and/or may not even be able to get around their house well.

2. Mental Health Benefits

For some people, being overweight can also affect their mental health. People may suffer from depression for many reasons. They may feel self-conscious and/or they may be unhappy about not being able to get around easily. They may isolate themselves from family and friends, which can worsen depression.

For many people, the solution for depression is to partake in unhealthy activities, such as overeating or drinking. Naturally, this creates a devastating cycle. Others may deal with their depression by lashing out at others or themselves.

3. Help and Support

Losing weight can be incredibly difficult. Whether you've struggled with it for years or recently have put on a few pounds, it's hard to adjust your habits. With a weight loss program, you'll have plenty of help. Not only can you find help with what types of foods you should eat and what type of exercises are good for you, but you will also find support when you are struggling.

You may find new ways to cope with your cravings and/or addiction. The best part is that everyone involved in the weight loss program understands your struggle because they have the same struggle. This gives you a support system like no other.

Being overweight can devastate your physical and mental health. If you are sick of struggling alone, it may be time to seek help. If you would like to know more, join a weight loss program in your area today. Reach out to a professional to learn more about how to lose weight.
